About the workshop

Discover SubjectToClimate (StC), a nonprofit online connector for K-12 educators of all subjects to find credible and engaging materials on climate change at no cost. In this presentation, we'll provide a brief background on SubjectToClimate, sharing its founding story and purpose. Experience the website firsthand through a guided demonstration, exploring its resource database, climate change lessons created by teachers, and more. Learn about exemplar lesson plans, featuring inquiry-based learning, along with helpful additions like scientist notes, teaching tips, and student learning standards. Engage in a collaborative brainstorming activity to find the connections between climate change and non-science subjects. Take time to explore the platform, find resources to plan your own lessons, and learn about the opportunity to write and publish your plans on the SubjectToClimate website.
